About Me
For over 15 years, I have been dedicated to teaching swimming to individuals of all ages and skill levels, from children to adults. My work has focused on building confidence in the water, especially for those who are nervous, fearful, or reluctant swimmers. Witnessing someone transform from apprehensive to confident and seeing them find harmony with the water has always been my greatest reward.
Five years ago, my career took an unexpected turn due to a shoulder injury. Unable to swim or teach, this period challenged me both physically and mentally, as swimming had always been my outlet for exercise and stress relief. During this time, I discovered the Art of Swimming, founded by Steven Shaw (1987). This holistic approach not only helped alleviate my shoulder pain but also renewed my overall sense of well-being. Inspired by this transformative experience, I trained with Steven Shaw in 2023 to integrate this method into my teaching.
Having returned to teaching, I now focus on individualised lessons tailored to swimmers’ unique needs. I aim to bridge the gap left by traditional swim schools, which often overlook the importance of supporting nervous swimmers—whether they are adults, children, or parents with babies. Too many people miss out on the vital life skill of swimming and the joy it brings due to fear or lack of personalised guidance.
My mission is to provide a calm, supportive environment where swimmers can build confidence, develop a positive relationship with water, and embrace the numerous physical and mental benefits of swimming. With the Shaw method as the foundation of my lessons, I help individuals rediscover the water at their own pace, empowering them to achieve their goals and enjoy this life-enriching skill.
